Remember that Sunday is the last day to order a 2014-2015 Yearbook, so get your order done online this weekend if you have not done so already and wish to purchase a Yearbook.

Conceptua Math: Big Idea 3 -> Adding and Subtracting Proper Fractions -> Folder 2 -> Subtract From Less Than One Whole. There are 4 lessons (3.2.1, 3.2.2, 3.2.3 and 3.2.4)

RazKids:  You will have time to read a book in class, but remember that you can always read more books than I assign. Don't forget that you now have access to our school library's Overdrive. You can access books on your mobile device (both etext and audio). 

MATH:
This week in Math, we will be starting Unit 4 - Angles and Polygons. We will be completing Lesson  4.1 'Naming Angles.' There is a class video to go with this lesson on our Math Support site (video), and there is an introduction to angles 'See It' on page 127 of your Pearson etext.

Great Day!

We had a great day at the Science Centre learning about special effects and building/programming robots. Room 205 students were truly awesome, and they were great ambassadors for Ècole W.S. Hawrylak School.

Verso - (free) We will be using this app to anonymously share and comment on our peer's answers/writing. 


 
Explain Everything ($2.99) - we have used this app already, so some students may already have it.  We will be using this to show our level of learning with some Math concepts. This is one of my favorite apps, as it is not 'subject-specific.' It can be used across the curriculum.

2014-2015 W.S. Hawrylak Yearbook

The final deadline for ordering this year’s yearbook is approaching. The option to order a Yearbook for the 2014-2015 school year will be removed from the School Online Payment site at the end of November. If you would like a yearbook, and have not already ordered, please pay online before December 1.
