Parents, here is a copy of the email I sent you earlier this week. If you have not had a chance to email me with 'permission' for your son/daughter to attend, please do so. I have received ALL permissions now. :-)
As a member of the Campbell family of schools- the grade 6-8 students at Hawrylak have been invited to attend the elementary school portion of the Mini-We-Day on Wednesday, October 14 pm. The event features music, youth speakers, and interactive presentations. The We-Day experience challenges youth to identify and take action on local and global issues.
The We Schools program challenges young people to identify the issues that spark their passion and create the change they want to see. By taking action on one local and one global issue, students develop the leadership skills to succeed academically, in the workplace and as active citizens. In short: ready to be not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also leaders today.

The presentation is from 1 - 1:45 on Oct.14. The bus will pick us up at Hawrylak at 12:30 and we will return for 2:15. There is no cost for the bus. Students who go home for lunch need to be back at the school no later than 12:20.
This will take place on a Day 4 – during the Grade 6 sectionals time slots.
