THIS WEEK: Monday, September 15 - Sunday, September 21, 2014

It was another great week in Room 205, and I am amazed at  how quickly the students are picking up on the expectations and routines. We did have a few with unfinished homework, but we are working on that. :-)
 
NOTES: 
Wednesday - Scholastic Book orders due

Thursday - HSCC BBQ and Open House. Room 205 will be having 2 sessions - one at 6:00 and one at 6:30.

Friday - School Photos will be taken

Mme Fournier just sent us an email saying that from now on, milk cards will only be sold online. They are in the process of getting this up and running, and that will take about a week.  You will be given more information regarding this next week.

HERE ARE THE ONLINE ASSIGNMENTS FOR THIS WEEK: These are due Sunday night.
 
TYPING WEB: Beginner Course -> Lesson 1 -> The Home Row Keys

Conceptua Math: Big Idea 1 -> Understanding Fractions. Complete the first folder F-1(Model Part/Whole Relationships). There are 4 lessons in this folder (F1.1.1, F1.1.2, F1.1.3 and F1.1.4).
REMEMBER: when you are logging in, the 'customer name' is my email - jporritt@accesscomm.ca, and your login does not have the 205 on the end.

I will give you some class time to work on these assignments, but you will also need to be working on them from home. Do not leave them until the last minute.

MATH:
This week in Math, we will be working on 1.2 'Patterns From Tables' (video) and 1.4 Using Variables to Describe Patterns' (video). Remember that the videos can be used in various ways: 
1) to preview the lesson and be better prepared
2) to review the lesson for better understanding
3) to prepare for a test
4) when you are absent
