THIS WEEK: Monday, March 10 - Sunday, March 16, 2014

NOTES: Weather permitting, we will be going on our Winter Survival fieldtrip on Friday, and it looks promising. Be sure to have everything ready. Your group will get one more chance to meet on Monday to double check that everything is covered and everyone remembers what he/she is bringing. 

We won't be skiing on Friday, but we will be having just as much fun!

In Term 3, we will be having a 'READ Challenge.' I am challenging the class to 'up' the number of minutes of reading done outside of school hours. I have set a Class Goal of 37 800 minutes over the first 10 weeks of Term 3. That equates to 20 minutes of reading per day per student.  I have set you up on an Online Reading Log to keep track of your minutes. Check it out: Biblionasium. I think you know what your logins are :-).  We will 'practise' using this reading log site in class this week and next, and our class READ challenge will begin on March 24th. Happy READing!

THIS WEEK'S ASSIGNMENTS:  There will be no required Online Assignments this week, as we have completed all of Term 2's Online Assignments. You may choose to go on and get a head start on Term 3 if you want.

This week in Math, we will be working on 6.4 Investigating Polygons (video) and 6.5 Congruence in Regular Polygons (video).  Do you recognize the voice in this week's Math 6.5 video?  It is not mine. :-)
