Parent Information for Progress ReportsIn 2010, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education revamped its curriculum. In response, school divisions across the province have adjusted their report cards. School divisions across the province have collaborated in designing a revamped curriculum that sharply defines outcomes and puts meaning behind the numbers used to assess them. The new curriculum is smaller and expressed in "outcome" rather than objective form. Teachers base the curriculum on outcomes, using them to determine assessment and decide on the resources that the class will use.
This year our First Term progress reports will be going home on Friday, November 30th. The Progress Report will look different from previous years, as we have moved to a new version. The School Board has created a web site for parents to help them understand the reason for the change and to tell you a bit about the new report card.
